Resilient Entrepreneurs During War: How to Win a Business Grant?
According to data from the Opendatabot service, after February 24, more than 51,000 new entrepreneurs emerged in Ukraine: 43,000 individual entrepreneurs (IEs) and 8,000 legal entities. The state and international organizations are striving to assist in business development during the war, primarily through grants.
A new segment has appeared on the For HR channel, dedicated to telling the stories of resilient entrepreneurs who are opening their second or third businesses and are determined to continue working and supporting Ukraine’s economy.
Recently, an interview was conducted with an entrepreneur from the Lugansk region, namely, Oleksiy Honchar. He shared his experiences on how he revived his business and attracted investors.
For micro and small businesses, grants are indeed a miraculous financial boost. Today, obtaining a business grant from the European Union is much easier than it was in 2015. It’s crucial to apply for programs that align with your business direction and fill out the applications correctly, then wait for a response. The more applications you submit, the better,” – says Oleksiy.
The entrepreneur also shared the main challenges that business representatives face and what hinders their normal operations.
“Concerns, power outages, Ukrainians leaving abroad, and fewer people coming to our establishment. Indeed, sometimes it can be nerve-wracking because as soon as you solve one problem, new ones arise. Additionally, the state of customer solvency is not very favorable. Our team firmly believes that everything will improve, and the businesses of our entrepreneurs will become more robust,” – Oleksiy shares.
