How to motivate a team during the war?

Motivating a team in times of crisis is a real challenge for companies. Instability, anxiety, and uncertainty due to the war, which has been ongoing for three years in our country, affect the morale and productivity of employees. Building and maintaining a team can become key factors in preserving and successfully developing a business in today’s realities.

On the For HR channel, we talked with Viktoria Nalyvaiko, CEO and Co-Founder of BazaIT, about successful strategies for building a strong and motivated team and how to encourage collaboration and support among employees in wartime conditions.

“We always speak honestly about the situation in the company as it is. We don’t hide anything from the team and don’t try to sugarcoat unpleasant moments in the business. This doesn’t work; on the contrary, it has the opposite effect. And most importantly, we involve our employees in business-oriented work,” – shares our guest.

In the episode, Viktoria also talked about where to find motivation and energy for work and how the company supports the team after shelling and difficult nights.

“We are constantly in touch with colleagues from different cities, making sure they are doing well, and we always pay attention to everyone’s emotional state. The person comes first, and only then work issues,” – says Viktoria.

What to do when employees are burnt out, what challenges BazaIT faced during the war, and top tips from Viktoria Nalyvaiko on building a strong team in turbulent times can be seen in the new episode on the For HR channel.
