How has the restaurant business changed? Bolt Food during the war
The restaurant business quickly adapted its operations to the conditions of war. Public eateries started preparing food for the military, displaced persons, and volunteers. In a recent interview for the “Business During War” segment, the channel For HR interviewed Ivan Grynchuk, the manager of Bolt Food in Ukraine, about the service’s operations, the situation with restaurants in areas affected by active shelling, and how they manage to launch new networks.
“Our focus is precisely on increasing the offerings for consumers and improving our market share in the cities where we operate. Currently, we are analyzing the market and clearly identifying the areas with the greatest potential. We plan to expand our geographic presence accordingly. We add approximately 200 restaurants to our platform every month, which means that the range of choices for consumers continues to increase. You can log onto the platform and select any food you desire,” – Ivan explains.
Ivan also shared insights about crisis management measures in the restaurant industry during the war and why food delivery is an important element of additional income for restaurants.
“It is also crucial to remain competitive in this market by providing delivery services, as it is a significant factor in increasing business volumes. Essentially, it means additional orders that can be fulfilled,” – shared Ivan, the manager of Bolt Food in Ukraine.
It is known that the Bolt service has already returned to pre-war levels in Lviv, gradually restored volumes in Kyiv, Odessa, and Dnipro, and made its first delivery after February 24th in Kharkiv in June of last year. Bolt Food is a food delivery service that has been operating in Ukraine since autumn 2020.
