Charity Event: How to Save Business and Team in Wartime

On November 30, a charity event for Ukrainian businesses was held in Kyiv with the support of Smart Solutions and the Circle of Care project. The event was held in the restaurant of Kyiv cuisine “Glek”.

Our goal was to raise funds for training psychologists who work with the population affected by the war. Thanks to the generosity and indifference of the guests, we managed to raise about 22,000 UAH. This means that 6 psychologists will be able to undergo training for free.

President of the NGO “Center for Social Leadership” and head of the “Circle of Care” project, Oktiabryna Lisovska shared her thoughts on the importance of supporting mental health.

We always overestimate the changes that will take place in a few years. And we vastly underestimate those that can happen over the next ten. For our country to cope with the consequences of the war, it is necessary to invest in the mental health of children and the team today.

Colleagues from Smart Solutions shared their experiences on why a business leader needs to unite the team and be a resource himself.

At the end of the event, there was a drawing of a workshop for the team from psychologists. I fought for this lot to the last, and we will order it anyway! Many people underestimate the work on mental health or have not heard about its benefits. I know from my experience what changes working with a therapist in a team can lead to. – comments Anna Kitsyna, International Development Director at Smart Solutions.

Among the auction lots were the following:

  • Certificate “Diagnosis of emotional burnout for key persons of the company” from Karina Kryvda,
  • certificate for corporate training for the company’s top managers “Crisis support for the manager: self-help and help to another” from Svitlana Marchek,
  • Annual VIP-client certificate from Suslov and Partners Law Firm.

The largest prize for the largest donation is a “Circle of Care” certificate for a training course: “Psychological assistance to children and parents in acute trauma and PTSD”. Two companies competed for this lot. The winner was TRIONIKA.

We are grateful to all the partners who joined the event, in particular, L’Oréal Ukraine, for the gift sets for the participants, the media partner of the company rabota.ua, the most popular women’s media brand in Ukraine – “Edina”. And also to all participants who came despite all the obstacles and contributed to supporting the mental health of Ukrainians.
